ONLINECLASSES

Online classes provide students an opportunity to learn in an environment that is physically remote from instructors and classmates, and at the same time close and personal. Online classes open the classroom to a world of dynamic, diverse content. Some classes require on-campus meetings. Check the instructor's website for specific class information.
Most CCSF online classes are credit degree applicable classes. As always, student must check with their counselor for specific degree, certificate, and transfer information.
CCSF offers students the opportunity to complete all major coursework for 8 different types of Associate Degrees, 7 Certificates of Achievement, and 5 Certificates of Accomplishment 100% online. For more information check with your counselor.
City College of San Francisco offers online classes using a platform called Insight, and starting in Fall 2016, many are using a new platform called Canvas.  In Spring 2017, almost all classes will be on Canvas. To login to Insight or Canvas, See MyCCSF or Login links on this page. You will receive an email at your CCSF email address with information on how to log in to your online claceed, you have to be self-motivated, possess good study skills, and be an independent learner. Online classes are as challenging as on-campus courses. Online classes are not self-paced. Course assignments, quizzes and exams have deadlines. Some courses have an on-campus component.
